LeapFrog Investments has bolstered its investment team with the appointment of Michael Jelinske as director of investments – in a newly created role.

Jelinske has been at LeapFrog for over six years, having joined the investment firm as an investment associate in 2016. Jelinske was most recently associate director in three years to 2023.

Meanwhile, LeapFrog has also appointed Rebecca Kwee as impact officer.

Their appointments come after Leapfrog recently appointed Nakul Zaveri as partner, to co-lead the investor’s new climate investment strategy, in 2022.

This came after Leapfrog recently appointed Julie Wallace as its head of impact, earlier in 2022.

The investor also appointed Annelise Sauter as manager of Impact Labs, its impact investment platform.

The investor also brought in Yalin Karadogan as partner and global head of investor relations earlier in 2022.

Leapfrog’s recent deals in Africa includes acquiring an undisclosed stake in Nigeria-based financial services technology, Interswitch, together with Tana Africa Capital, in 2022.

The investor also partially exited its stake in Goodlife Pharmacy, a Kenya-based healthcare products distribution company, selling 30% to CFAO Healthcare – sealed in 2022.

Andrew Kuper is founder and CEO at Leapfrog Investments.
