Swedfund has bolstered its team with the appointment of Kristin Sjöblom as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) director.
Sjöblom has been at Swedfund for more than eleven years, having joined the development financier in 2011. She was most recently head of ESG in more than a year to 2023.
Prior to that, she was senior manager for ESG affairs for over eight years, from 2013 to 2022.
This comes after Swedfund appointed Karin Parmenstam as investment manager in 2021.
Swedfund’s Africa exposure includes a $1 million equity injection into Kasha Global, a Kenya-based technology company focused on the consumer space – sealed in 2020.
